We are saddened to inform you that Women for Women OB/GYN will be closing our doors for patient appointments on Friday, July 19, 2024. Please rest assured that your health and safety are our top priority, and it is our goal to ensure all care continues seamlessly.
We will remain available through Monday July 22, 2024, to help you explore options for transitioning your care and to offer support for clinical inquiries, prescription refills, and accessing test results. After July 22, our phones will be forwarded to nearby Axia locations, where caring staff is available to help address your needs. Should you call after July 22, please let our colleagues know that you are a Women for Women OB/GYN patient, and they will be pleased to assist you.
Transitioning Your Care
We have several convenient options to continue your care within the Axia network, including McConnell & Associates OB/GYN, Bryn Mawr Women's Healthcare Associates, Main Line OB/GYN, Main Line Women's Healthcare Associates and Paoli OB/GYN. Each offers multiple local locations and dedicated, highly skilled providers who can provide you with compassionate, comprehensive women’s healthcare. You can find location and contact information for each of these care centers at the bottom of this page.
For Pregnant Patients
- If you are pregnant, our colleagues at Women for Women OB/GYN will work with you personally to ensure you have an individualized plan for your pregnancy care. If you are due on or after July 12, 2024, our physicians will help you transition to another provider and you can plan to discuss your personalized transition plan during upcoming appointments. - Our care team has shared obstetrical call at Lankenau Hospital with the physicians at McConnell & Associates OB/GYN for decades, who also have an office location in Lankenau Medical Center Office Building. Drs. Brooke High, Joan Devine, Colleen Dempsey, Michael Belden, and Mark Finnegan share our holistic approach to care and can offer a seamless transition for you at their locations in Lankenau Campus, Paoli, and Edgmont.
- Additional nearby Axia care centers nearby are affiliated with Main Line Health facilities and deliver at area-leading hospitals including Bryn Mawr Hospital and Paoli Hospital. Colleagues at these care centers are ready to assist you as well should you choose to transfer your care to their attentive and empathic providers. You can find contact information for each of these care centers below.
For Gynecological Surgery Patients
- If you are planning to have or have scheduled gynecological surgery, your provider will work closely with you to determine a safe care plan to ensure you receive the appropriate amount of time for follow-up visits/care.
- Please note that we will not be scheduling any surgeries after June 21, 2024. If you have surgery scheduled after June 21, 2024, we will contact you to discuss a plan to reschedule and coordinate care for you.
Imaging and Testing
- If you have a current order and haven't scheduled with a radiology facility yet, please do so as soon as possible.
- When you arrive for your imaging or testing appointment, it is essential you request to have your results sent directly to your current primary care provider or to your new OB/GYN. You should inform the facility not to send the results to Women for Women OB/GYN as the office will be closing.
Medical Records
- If you'd like to transfer your care to an Axia Women’s Health care center, there is no need to transfer your medical records. You can easily book an appointment online at axiawh.com or contact the care center directly via phone. We encourage you to establish care with another Axia care center as soon as you can, so that you can continue to access our expanded care offerings without interruption.
- If you transfer your care to a provider outside of the Axia Women’s Health network, we have partnered with MediCopy to send your full medical records to another practice of your choice in a timely fashion and at no cost to you. You can visit axiawh.com/forms to request your records from MediCopy, or call them directly at (866) 587-6274.
Behavioral Health/Mammography Services
- If you are currently utilizing our behavioral health or mammography services, we encourage you to establish care with another Axia care center as soon as you can, so that you can continue to access these offerings without interruption.
